Short-Term Shutdown

Scouts is a place where young people come to meet new people, enjoy new adventures, and learn skills for life.

East Lancashire Scouts is proud to own and operate Bowley Scout Campsite & Activity Centre and has done so for over fifty years. We take pride in providing activities and residential experiences to over 10,000 visitors annually. Our range of activities is extensive, and we continue to actively invest in enhancing our offerings for young people.

There is an ongoing programme of works in place to ensure that our facilities continue to meet the highest standards. We are entering a short-term shutdown to allow these works to take place during what would normally be a quieter month of the camping season. We anticipate these works will be completed by end of September.

We understand that this will cause disruption for visitors that had planned to host their experiences with us, and we will be reaching out to support with alternative arrangements as soon as we can.
