Campfire Circle
If you would like to hold a campfire one evening, then please ask to use our Campfire Circle. We often find that two or three Groups will get together to make the experience so much more special.
Reflection Area
Perfect to setting for Sunday service, quiet reflection time, or your Scouts’ own. Our reflection area can cater for larger groups and is based on the Lodge field in the centre of the campsite.
Trader
The Trader sells sweets, drinks, badges, and souvenirs etc. Subject to volunteers, the Trader is open Saturday and Sunday in the main camping season. If staying during the week, and you would like to access the Trader, please ask at the time of your booking and we will endeavour to facilitate your request.
Sports Barn
The sports barn is our all-weather activity centre and our largest facility. This sports hall is the size of a 5-a-side football pitch, 40m x 25m. There are also modern toilets and shower facilities available inside.
The AWAC can be booked out in two ways. Many groups book the sports hall as a large indoor space to carry out their own activities in. To give you an idea of what it is suitable for, here are some activities that have been carried out in here:
- Discos, including Silent and Roller Discos,
- Football tournaments,
- Bouncy Castle parties,
- Circus Skills Workshops
On the side of the building is a large shutter door so if any large equipment is required then it has very easy access for unloading vehicles.
