Quad Biking

The newest addition to Bowley activities, Quad Biking is fun filled adrenaline pumping activity. With our purpose built track as well as the ability to explorer the campsite on 4 wheels.

The young riders will be on one of our junior 110cc 4 stroke Raptor Quads.

The session is run by 2 of our qualified instructors for an hour long session. This includes being kitted out in full overalls, Helmets and Goggles. The instructors will also brief the riders on the use of the quads and health and safety while riding. There will then be a familiarization session, and if good competency is shown by all riders then a more challenging course will be provided [conditions permitted]

At this moment in time due to the size of the quads we are only open for bookings of age groups 8-14 years old.

Please make sure your group wear suitable footwear, No open fronted or Sandals

Consent forms must be gained from either parent or group leader in advance of the session. Please download here

Campsite Service

Part of the Camper badge for Scouts is to perform some Campsite Service while on camp.  We welcome all groups to carry out appropriate tasks during their stay.  This can be invaluable to both the young people, who always thoroughly enjoy offering their skills and enthusiasm, and to the campsite.

Here are some examples of what you can help with gardening, assisting with construction or maintenance, clearing drainage channels, repairing equipment, general tidying up,

If you would like to carry out some service then please contact us a few weeks prior to your visit - we always have plenty that needs doing.  We do ask that any service is supervised by an adult at all times.

Pond Dipping

Our large pond is a haven for all sorts of wildlife.  Why not bring along the young people to investigate this habitat as part of their Scientist Activity badge?  We’ll supply the nets and recording materials.  This activity is suitable for all ages, with worksheets tailored to each section.

Scout, Guide and Youth Groups - £20

 Corporate & Schools - £40

Tree Trail

Bowley has a huge variety of mature trees that have been planted over the decades.  For a fun tree recognition activity, take our Tree Trail worksheets and follow it around the site, spotting over 25 different trees as you go.

All Weather Activity Centre

Our All-Weather Activity Centre [formerly known as the Sports Barn] is our largest facility. This sports hall is the size of a 5-a-side football pitch, 40m x 25m.  There is also the Field Study training room upstairs and modern toilets and shower facilities available inside.

The AWAC can be booked out in two ways.  Many groups book the sports hall as a large indoor space to carry out their own activities in.  To give you an idea of what it is suitable for, here are some activities that have been carried out in here:

Discos, including Silent and Roller Discos,

Football tournaments,

Bouncy Castle parties,

Circus Skills Workshops.

On the side of the building is a large shutter door so if any large equipment is required then it has very easy access for unloading vehicles. If you want to keep your group occupied for a few hours or longer then the hall can be booked out with the use of all the sports / activities that come with it.

Indoor Curling,

Table Tennis,

Pool Tables,

Swing Cars,

And a variety of other sports and games

See our price list for detailed prices or email us with what you would like to use it for and one of our team will be glad to advise you.
